  3. I think losing a job would be very heartbreaking. I know when I moved to South Carolina I left my friends and family in Indiana and that was hard. I'm sure leaving a job would be hard.

  10. In my book Raymond and Graham were in love with a certain girl. Raymond LOVES Lizzy, Graham LOVES Suesie. So their class dose a dance for something really important I can't remember, but the girl Graham likes goes home early. When Graham saw her go home he acted like he was sick so they would have to partner up with each other. But Suesie comes back to class right before paople got partnerd up with each other, SUESIE WALKED IN THE CLASS. So Suesie got partnerd up with Zack. Raymond got pair up with Lizzy wich he didn't like that much so he raised his hand and Mrs.Gibson said " Everyone Raymond has volenteered to dance with me." Raymond was shocked and Graham would too.

My favirite part of my book is when Uncle Nick and his family go to camp with the other Little's and the town and find two babies in the dumpster. They are going crazy now about it.Major Nick asked,"Where did they come from and who brought them here?" He also asked,"Who are their parents?"This is a exciting adventure abot people who are no more than six inches tall!It was a good book!

  27. This is a great entry in a great series, which features the adventures of a family of small people-with-tails named the Littles, who live in the walls of the clueless humans, the Biggs.

This is probably my favorite book in the series, prominently featuring two other families of little people, the Specks and the Tinies. These two clans have an irrational distrust of each other, and the Littles get caught up in their struggles just when they desperately need to be focused on the pregnancy of Mrs. Little.

The elements that make the series consistently great are also on full display. The little people are essentially living in isolated pockets in the vast and dangerous frontier created by humans, and they must rely on their own wits to carve out a decent living. The problems they face, and the solutions that they struggle to find, are amazingly realistic, and there is no need to create evil-minded villains when the terrain is so inhospitable. Seeing the other clans in action also shows that the methods of living life on such a small scale can be very localized; the Specks, who live in the trunk of a tree, have an entirely different way of life than the Littles.

This is a charming series, with hundreds of thoughtful details that will delight children with their ability to portray a real world. Interactions with housecats and toy gliders are particularly thrilling.

Also, I would be remiss not to mention the wonderful sepia-toned drawings by Roberta Carter Clark. They mirror the text's adherence to realism, and give us a very graphic and fun look at the scenes that the text describes.

  28. Living on this Earth, right under our very noses, is a race of tiny people. They are not dwarfs or elves, but simply tiny people, six inches tall at the most and possessing beautiful, furry tails. And in the home of the Biggs, lives a family of these tiny people, called the Littles.
In this book, Mrs. Little is coming due for the birth of her baby. But, with a snowstorm covering the area, the Littles decide that they must telephone Aunt Lily (a nurse from four houses away - quite a long distance) and tell her NOT to come. However, when a human intercepts the call, Aunt Lily decides that the call was a call for help, and she and Cousin Dinky set off in his glider. Disaster strikes when a gust of wind throws Lily out of the glider, and now it is up to the Littles to stage a rescue. It's a dangerous world out there for a little person, and Aunt Lily has fallen into adventures in a big wood!

I am a fan of Mary Norton's Borrowers books, and was saddened by the knowledge that there would never be any more. When I discovered Mr. Peterson's Littles books I was overjoyed, hoping that these would be just as good. Well, I wasn't disappointed!

The story in this book is charming, and quite entertaining. My children and I were thrilled with the story, and look forward to reading more of the adventures of the Littles. We highly recommend this book to you.

  30. Hi, Here are some sorth smmerys of Katie Kazoo Book! It's Mother's Day and Katie is giving her mom tap dancing lessons! Mrs. Carew really loves Katie's gift and practices all the time. But when the magic wind switcheroos Katie into her mom right before the audition, Katie panics. Will Mrs. Carew ever put on her tap shoes again?

Becky is taking riding lessons at the Cherrydale Stables. Katie convinces everyone to go to the horse show to watch—but she'll get to see what it's like from the horse's perspective when she's switcherooed into Becky's horse, Brownie.

Everyone in Cherrydale has election fever! While the adults get ready to vote for town mayor, the fourth graders are holding an election for a fourth grade mayor! Both Katie and Suzanne are nominated, and Suzanne really (really, really!) wants to win. She even tries to sabotage Katie's campaign! Katie is furious at her ex-best friend, until two hilarious switcheroos teach her that politics is a tricky business—and not worth losing her best friend over.

It's baseball season, and Katie and her friends are busy rooting for their favorite team, the Cherrydale Porcupines. Katie loves the team, but can't understand why her friends are so obsessed with the team's star shortstop, Mike Reed. She prefers the old shortstop who now sits on the bench every game. But when Katie is switcherooed into the team's star shortstop, she learns that she should never judge someone until she's standing in their size-12 baseball cleats!

Class 4A is studying reptiles, which makes class pet Slinky the snake a minor celebrity. The whole class collects worms from the field to feed to Slinky as a treat, but Katie refuses—she's a vegetarian! Then when the magic wind appears, Katie learns what it's like to be in someone else's skin—scaly snake skin to be exact! Michael will like this one. There are a lot of them you can get them from the pule lidery.I got mine from there!
